The mountains are calling to tell us of the majesty of God. Time in the wilderness reveals how small we are compared the grandeur of God. Those who spend time in wild places, away from the distractions of life, understand themselves and their God better. When the mountains call, we should go. Because we get to spend time with God.

Expeditions Wilderness Trips is a backpacking ministry of Camp Eden. Each trip offers stunning views of the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, opportunities to develop leadership skills, and new friendships to build. The trip is three days, three nights and is offered to students in upper high-school. The guided hike includes food, gear, all permits, and supervision* required for backcountry adventuring.

Leadership - Over the course of a backpacking trip, each camper will lead part of the hike, demonstrating their ability to make decisions and lead others. Honest evaluation and feedback will be given to help future leaders continue to develop their ability to lead well.
Community - Campers who rough it together, grow together! Who you share your expedition with is as important as what you learn. In fact, who you share your expedition with will determine what you learn. We all are better together, and part of a wilderness trip is learning to help each other.
Skill - Backpacking is a skill like any other - it takes some time and effort to learn. Our guides are experienced backpackers themselves with all the safety and skill training needed to effectively teach backcountry skills and abilities to young people. Campers will leave with new skills.
