But adventures are hard, too. Consider the exhaustion, the deprivations, the difficulties those who have adventures feel. Let’s not go on adventures; it sounds inconvenient and hard. The voice that counsels to avoid adventure is the voice of fear talking. Let’s not fear the potential of failure; let’s boldly risk things in order to see the Kingdom of God advanced. Let’s not fear the possibility of harm; let’s trust God to direct the outcome as he sees fit. Let’s not fear the unknown; let’s take the next right step in serving God. Let’s be honest – we all want a little adventure in our lives. Here’s the secret, though: Life is an adventure. |
