Work days at Camp Eden
You may not realize this, but we have several campsite projects in the hopper, that just needed some quiet time around the campsite to complete. Since we aren't able to serve campers this summer, we're going to focus on the campsite. Here's some answers to some questions you might have about this summer's work days.
When are the work days?
Currently we are planning work days every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from June 9-July 30. We will take a one week break on July 7, 8, & 9. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, work will begin at 9am and end at 4pm. On Wednesdays, work will begin at 1pm and go to 8pm. You are welcome to come anytime during those hours, and we'll get you working on a project.
Will there be meals provided?
Because of the current restrictions for food service and santitation, we will not be able to provide food for those who come work. Lunches and/or dinner will need to brought along with the workers.
What kind of projects are happening?
We have big projects, medium projects, and small projects. Some of them will take a day, others will take several days. All of them will allow us to better serve churches and rental groups with the tool of Christian camping. Everything from new cabins decks, to kitchen upgrades, to activity installs, to lakefront beautification is in the mix.
Currently, our intial projects will include refinishing the wood on the front of the Lodge, clearing out the basketball court for a new pavilion, building benches for the around the campsite, and building closet/storage for the upper cabins. If those sound like too much work, we have several low-key projects on the list that can be done anytime!

How will you fund these projects?
Many of these projects are the kinds of things we would normally use our budget to pay for. But since we're bringing in less income this summer than normal, we're looking to our main source of income...God's provision through His people! If Camp Eden has been a blessing to you in the past, we'd encourage you to give as the Lord has prospered you toward these projects. When you give, the Camp Staff will wisely direct your gift toward whichever project is best. Click here to give online. Otherwise, donations can be mailed to our office.
Who can help?
Anyone can help! Even if you only have a day you can give, that day will be a blessing to the Camp Staff! Organize a group (of ten or less, please!) from your church, bring your family, or come alone. You'll be assigned to a team, your team will tackle a project, and your reward is a job well done. Feel free to just show up or let us know you're coming!
